There’s a ton of buzz these days about mindfulness, but what is it? Is it actually helpful? |
Learn how present-moment mindfulness practices can play a role in reducing and reframing one’s response to stress, ultimately fostering a healthier relationship with stress. In our time together we’ll:
|
- Explore what mindfulness is and isn’t (you might be surprised!)
- Learn about some of the benefits and science behind mindfulness (yes, this is backed by research!)
- Do some mindfulness practice and reflection.
Comfortable participation is encouraged and you will get the most out of the time by attending in a quiet space where you can arrange to minimize interruptions and distractions.

She is grateful to be mom to an amazing twice-exceptional son and has an odd knack for being able to work the topic of Iceland into just about any conversation. She is also proud to be a co-founder of GiftedNYS and has been involved in several other advocacy and peer-support initiatives over the years, including New York State Partners in Policymaking, Parent to Parent of New York State, and multiple programs with Starbridge, Inc. |
